It is truly freezing here. In fact, it's beyond freezing.Yesterday, in an act of absolute foolishness, I locked my children inside the car. It was running and warm, and they were all buckled in to their carseats, very comfortably. I was the one on the outside, shouting through the window at my three-year old to crawl to the front seat and unlock the door. It took about 20 minutes of intense discussion, but he figured it out. Totally saved the day-and saved me some stress.
The mitten in this drawing belongs to my daughter. She's two, and her accessories are all way cooler than my own.

Just commented over at Flickr. Yikes!! What would you have done if there had been no 3-year-old to negotiate with? I am forever locking my daughter and me out of the house (even inside it, once, but that's another story)!
I know, E-J, I had that same exact thought. If it would have just been me and Megan, it would have been a totally different story-one I don't really want to think about!
Along these same lines, when Sean was about one, he locked me OUT of the house, with him inside. That was so scary. Somehow, he ended up unlocking the door and letting me back in, but the time I spent on the back porch freaking out must have taken a few years off my life!
Oh, I did that once, too, only it was my 1 yr old and I had already put him in the carseat. I had to call the police and they came and opened it in a flash, probably b/c there was a child involved. Otherwise I would have had to call a locksmith... I love the mitten!
I could show use that glove right now, great job!
Great illo.....unbelieveable story...Thank goodness it all worked out...Whew!....love the comment about your daughter's accessories..hilarious! :)
