This drawing is a misrepresentation of the apartment building next door to our condo. It really isn't that bad, just a standard brick apartment. Nothing fancy, but the whole of the building is not as bad as this single window. Unfortunately, this is part of the view from our dining room table, and it's not especially beautiful. It's a jumble of wires, and the lower half of the window has a stained piece of plywood in it.Next time, I'll draw the view from the north side of our building. It looks out onto a beautiful courtyard, and the architecture of our building is charming.
For today, here's the south side. Until I draw the north side, this is "to be continued...."

Oh my! I love looking out my kitchen window. But someone finally moved about 18 mos. ago. They have lace drapes, pulled down solids. Until they moved in I would take pictures of my Cat on the ironing board, or one of my art roller containers. Well, i popped a picture of Her and you should have seen the shades. I had no idea 'The Rockettes' trained window shades. you cannot see anything but shadows behind the heavy lace. Do they ever turn the light out on You?
This is a beautiful drawing. Thanks so much for sharing. May I ask the media you used to execute such a wonderful piece?

How wonderful the details are in this window view ! Made me smile!!
Well you've made it an attractive view!
Great work on all those bricks, love the way you textured them.
You've captured the jumble of wires perfectly. Looks like every alley in Chicago. You just pray an electrician never has to unhook one of those or you may be without power for weeks while they try to figure out where it was supposed to go! Nice work.
Another lovely drawing. Loved your last post, too.
What patience on those bricks! All those wires really make this picture - there's something so great about picking a view that lots of people wouldn't look twice at and making it into something fabulous. Love it.
